The ADBA is happy to announce that there will be a Steering Clinic instructed by John McDermott, sternsman and coach for the Greater Chicago Dragon Boat Club. John has co-authored the curriculum used for this course and promises to make this course one that will be very informative.

The clinic will be held in the Chicago area on July 15 - 16, 2017.

Because the American Dragon Boat Association is sponsoring this event, there will be no course fee charged. However, pre-registration is required.

Training courses!

USDBF Official's training

The ADBA is looking for people that are interested in expanding their knowledge of the rules and regulations regarding Dragon Boat racing. We would like to offer a USDBF Official's training course here in the Midwest this summer. This class would be offered here in the Midwest if there is enough interest to cover the cost to bring in the instructor.

Should there not be enough interest in the Midwest, there is a class scheduled on September 15th at Princeton, New Jersey. The application for the New Jersey class is available here. This class will be held just prior to the Club Crew Nationals, and will offer "shadow training" on Saturday and Sunday during the event at Mercer.
